We have enjoyed the stories in
our new reading unit about families.
We’ve read Brothers and Sisters,
Jalapeño Bagels, and Carousel.
We finished our math unit on
graphs, and now we are studying numbers and patterns to 1,000.
We finished our geography
unit with Mrs. Moss, and we started our weather unit this week with Mrs. Bray.
Thank you to our classroom
volunteers who have helped grade and review our math drills. Our kids are getting so much quicker with
their math facts!
Three cheers for our stars of
the week, Autumn and Paisley! It’s been
great getting to learn more about them.
We did some fun activities
with our buddies. We made bunnies,
played a synonym game, and decorated butterflies together.
We loved the activities for
“I’m going to college!” week. We got to
wear college gear, learn about different careers, and meet our favorite college
mascots! We made up our own college
name, Awesome Adams University, and we got to do our cheer for the whole
school!
We were so lucky to have a
real author visit our classroom today!
Her name is Kathleen Wright, and she wrote a book called Dog Daze. She told us about herself, answered questions
about being an author, and helped us write our own stories. If your child would like a personalized copy
of her book, please return the attached form with the money by next Monday, May
7.
