We’ve been reading about Abraham Lincoln in language
arts this week. We used our book and
another article to write an informational paper about his life. We also performed a play about why Abraham
Lincoln grew his beard. Ask your child
about it!
We had fun practicing proper nouns this week. We made pumpkins and wrote stories about
them, highlighting all of our proper nouns.
We have been practicing two-digit addition in
math. Our class has been learning how to
write out a problem and regroup when needed. Remember that there are resources for each
lesson on the Pearson Realize website.
We made a graph of the Halloween costumes we like
best.
radKIDS Update
This week in radKIDS we discussed
danger and emergencies (pages 1-14 in the Family Safety Manual). We also
learned some moves to help us defend ourselves if we are attacked (radKID
stance, blocking and peppering). Please help your child practice dialing
911 on your phones and create a family password.
Our radKIDS graduation will be November
18. Mark your calendar for this special
event!
We had a great time celebrating Red
Ribbon Week!
We’re
so excited for Halloween, and we hope to see you at the
parade. Please remember that there are no masks or
weapons
allowed.
Helmet’s are okay if we can see the
student’s face.
